  • Tim BrownPresident & CEONestle Waters North America

As chairman, president and CEO of Nestle Waters North America Inc. (NWNA), based in Stamford, Connecticut, Tim Brown oversees the third largest non-alcoholic beverage company by volume in the U.S. The company's unrivaled portfolio of popular, quality refreshment brands with an emphasis on water as healthy hydration resulted in $4.3 billion in sales in 2015, supported by 8,500 employees, 29 plants, and operations in more than 140 communities.
Tim joined the company in 1988, spending 26 years with NWNA in increasingly responsible sales management roles. Tim has been a key industry player in the transition of bottled water from a niche product to the anticipated number one packaged beverage consumed in America. The advent of bottled water in small, portable packaging in the early 1990's led Tim and his sales team to re-position bottled water as a refreshment beverage, available ubiquitously.
In 2010, Tim was appointed to lead Nestle Canada as president and CEO. At Nestle Canada, Tim was charged with executive responsibility for the following divisions: Beverages, Confectionary, Frozen Meals and Pizza, Ice Cream, Nestle Professional, Nestle Purina PetCare, Nestle Waters and Nestle Nutrition. He oversaw the introduction of such popular brands as Nescafe®, Drumstick®, Kit-Kat®, Lean Cuisine® and Delissio®. Nestle Canada employs approximately 3,500 people in 21 facilities including manufacturing sites, sales offices and distribution centers nationally. Under Tim's leadership, Nestle Canada was recognized as one of the Best Workplaces in Canada in 2012.
Tim returned to NWNA in February 2013 in his current leadership role where his passion and creativity ignites the entrepreneurial, nimble energy and core value of respect which are foundational to Nestlé Waters North America. He inspires the organization to leverage the power of international bottled water and tea brand names as Nestlé® Pure Life®, Perrier®, S. Pellegrino®, and Nestea® and a roster of outstanding natural spring water brands distributed regionally in the U.S., including, Poland Spring®, Arrowhead ® and Deer Park®.
Prior to joining Nestle Waters, Tim worked for Procter & Gamble for three years in Texas and Oklahoma.
Tim resides in Westport, Connecticut with his wife and two sons. Apart from enjoying time with his family, Tim supports several civic and children's community activities and is an avid golfer. He was born and raised in Buffalo, N.Y. Tim graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing from St. Bonaventure University, from which he was also awarded a Doctor of Commercial Science degree and served as commencement speaker in spring 2015.
